Description

We offer personalised and evidence-based psychology and counselling support to help children and adolescents to build the skills, confidence and resilience to cope with life’s challenges.

Supporting resilience and wellbeing, our team works in close partnership with families through face-to-face or online sessions to empower children and adolescents to build skills in a range of areas, including:

  • Managing anxiety
  • Coping with depression
  • Skills for socialising and making friends
  • Regulating emotions
  • Supporting positive behaviours
  • Supporting difficulties with learning
  • Strategies to support Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
  • Strategies to Support Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • Coping with transitions
  • Navigating family changes like separation and divorce

We use a number of evidence-based psychological therapies to help your child build these specific skills and give them strategies to help reach their goals. These therapies may include:

  • Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) – aims to help individuals identify and challenge unhelpful thoughts or feeling to learn practical self-help skills.
  • Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) – an approach that places focus and importance on discussing solutions to deal with problems.
  • Play Therapy – where the child expresses, regulates, communicates, practices and masters news skills and emotional responses through play.

We also offer a range of Psychological Assessments to help identify children’s strengths and needs and empower families to put the right supports in place. They include:

  • Cognitive (IQ) Assessment
  • Educational (Academic) Assessment
  • Behavioural Assessment
  • ADHD Assessment
  • Autism Assessment
  • Dyscalculia Assessment
  • Dyslexia Assessment
